Blueberries

Blueberries are antioxidant superstars, ranking second among top antioxidant-rich foods. Latest research shows that blueberries may protect brain cells and help reverse age-related memory loss. In addition, blueberries contain anthocyanins, the phytonutrients that that give them their blue-purple color and may help to prevent heart disease, cancer and help with weight management. Blueberries also provide Iron (0.4mg/1cup), vitamin C (14mg/1c), an especially beneficial combination because vitamin C enables the body to better absorb the Iron in plant foods. Additionally studies show that blueberries can help treat and prevent tract infections.
