Today, many of us are facing difficulties finding truthful and useful information when we are reading press-releases, breaking research or magazine and internet based news. Many articles contain biased representations and/or wrong conclusions of the new released findings. It can happen for several reasons; most of them are related to marketing, where the shocking content leads to more sales and/or readers, another reason is many authors have great writing skills, however no knowledge of scientific methods, their importance and are bias due to that.
Our mission is to review and critique research papers and news releases related to the nutrition, diet and food industry and to make own comments on accuracy, usefulness or application of the new findings. Additionally our goal is to help the general public better understand the nutrition industry without being overwhelmed by the marketing, and hype of new research through discussion forums and engaging in a collaborative community of nutrition professionals and public.
