Nectarines

Vibrant orange-reddish colors of nectarines give away their nutrient contents. Nectarines are high in beta –carotene (yes, same as carrots), which in our body converts to vitamin A, improving our night vision. The juicy flesh of this fruit is high in phytonutrients that protect against cancer. Because nectarines contain insoluble fiber (skin) and soluble fiber (flesh) in the fruit, this fruit regulates digestion, helps to prevent constipation, and lowers cholesterol level. Nectarines are also high in potassium, which is essential for controlling blood pressure. One medium fruit contains only 60 Calories (which is less than slice of bread), 290 mg Potassium, 470 IU vitamin A, vitamin C, and Folate.
